About

I’m Jared Jakacky. I build, study, and write about systems.

Most of my work has lived somewhere between software, infrastructure, operations, and analysis. I have worked on production cloud platforms, written software for operationally sensitive environments, published scientific work, and built tools that try to make complex behavior easier to understand.

The common thread is not one industry or one stack. I am interested in how systems behave: how they fail, how they recover, how people reason about them, and how good design makes them easier to trust. That shows up in infrastructure work, Go libraries, APIs, technical writing, data projects, and the occasional deep dive into topics far outside my day job.

I value clear thinking, evidence, useful abstractions, and practical execution. I like work that connects theory to reality: turning vague problems into understandable models, making tradeoffs explicit, and building systems that can be explained, operated, measured, and improved.

This site is a home for builds, notes, and essays. Some pieces are polished. Some are exploratory. The goal is to make my work and thinking easier to follow over time.
